Twin Byrner Surfboard Review

The Twin Byrner, by Master Shaper Ian Byrne, was one of the first arrows to be drawn in our Australian board quiver.

The brief to Ian (known as Ern to all his mates) was to give us a modern version, of an 80’s twin fin. A board that made so much noise for Town & Country back in the day.

What came back was spectacular, and beautiful!

A modern, single flyer swallow tail, twin fin (come thruster) referencing the design features if the past, but certainly, a board for today.

The Twin Byrner has tons of drive, and is a pleasure to ride. It’s fuller outline and flat rocker is forgiving in poor to moderate conditions, and the board is fierce when the waves turn on.

In this 3rd episode of Board Talk, our resident test pilot Coby Perkovich puts the Twin Byrner through its paces.
